ABOUT OUR EVENT
The Miles for Maddog Awareness Walk is a Community Event in the truest spirit of that phrase – it will be fun for the entire family! Miles for Maddog celebrates the hearts and soles of organ and tissue donation by honoring all those who have selflessly donated their organs and tissues — both Living Donors and Deceased Donors. This includes our inspiration, Maddie “Maddog” Grobmeier, whose organ donations saved three lives, cornea donations restored sight for two people, and tissue donations changed the lives of countless others as far away as Seoul, South Korea! Miles for Maddog also celebrates the lives of organ, cornea, and tissue transplant recipients and the gifts they received!
Miles for Maddog aims to bring awareness to teens and their families, as well as the broader community, about making the decision to become organ and tissue donors to potentially save the lives of others. Registration fees and donations fund the event and help support the work of the Maddog Strong Foundation in educating and inspiring the next generation of organ and tissue donation advocates!

NEW LOCATION!
Miles for Maddog will kick off from The Square at Frankfort Square Park District, 7710 West Kingston Drive, Frankfort, IL 60423. Parking is available at The Square and in the parking lot one block west of The Square.
Our Maddog Village (now located in an air-conditioned venue at The Square) will serve as our event hub. At the Maddog Village, participants can meet with donation and transplantation organizations, take a chance at winning an amazing raffle basket, purchase merchandise, view the trailer for GIFTED: The Docuseries, and so much more! Participants can expect refreshments, entertainment, and lost of family fun!

NEW FORMAT!
The Miles for Maddog Awareness Walk will have two course options that will still take participants through much of the beautiful Frankfort Square Park District course you are familiar with!
Our short course (about 1 mile long) will follow our Tribute Trail, which honors deceased and living donors and donor advocates – focusing on their generous gifts. Our longer course (about 2 miles long) will also conclude through the Tribute Trail, but you will get to stop at Gratitude Stations where participants can paint rocks, visit Giving Tree Park, and partake in other fun activities along the way!
Many Miles for Maddog traditions will remain, like our Opening Ceremony and Flag Parade! Follow us on social media to learn about all of the new traditions we will be introducing at this year’s event!
